This time is different? Post-pandemic banking and financial markets conference

The Department of Banking and Global Financial System of Cracow University of Economics cordially invites prospective speakers and participants to an international conference, organized on 27-28 April, 2023, in hybrid form.

The aim of the conference is to discuss current trends in banking and financial markets and possibilities of enhancing bank profitability and the stability of the financial sector. The conference will also discuss the long-term impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on banking sector, both in negative and positive terms, including the impact of technology and old and new risks to bank stability and performance.

The two-day long conference will be conducted in hybrid form – in-person at Cracow University of Economics and online. The keynote speakers are Prof. Paul Wachtel, New York University Stern School of Business; Prof. Sebastian Royo, Clark University and Prof. Laurence M. Ball, The Johns Hopkins University.

The post-conference publication opportunities include a special issue of the Safe Bank Journal, publishes by The Polish Bank Guarantee Fund, and participation in a monograph published by an international publisher.

The participation in the conference is free of charge. The registration is open until April 26, 2023, at 12:00 p.m.
